Invisibility & Presence: Dancing in the Unknown with Clown
Clown drops us into the here & now, where doors of imagination open & all is possible, guiding us to meet ourselves, each other & the world in fresh, often unexpected ways. The results can be affirming & liberating! The only requirement for workshops is a pinch of willingness to show up, let go, & open to the music of our attention. We do this together, through dynamic improvisation & reflection. Whether you are new to Clown, or already a seasoned performer, this work is sure to enliven your path. Improvisation, presence & listening are at the heart of our approach. Silence, stillness, & the spaces between us light our way. This is an invitation to playfully explore the poetry of being human. All are welcome!
Sarah’s approach to teaching is inspired by her adventures as a psychotherapist, language teacher, actor, musician, & more. She has discovered that Clown connects us to the poetry of being human. She weaves traditions in the expressive & healing arts, the gifts of present-moment experience & a legacy of Clown that is refreshed when it is shared.

Intuitive Weaving Ritual Circle
This ritual practice is a personal ritual grown from Danielle's personal practice and philosophies of centering and honoring relationship with Self, to then practice conscious co-creation of relationships in all our relationships. This circle will begin with a guided visualization and will move into an intuitive weaving practice on beautiful locally crafted wooden looms to create a personal ritual piece. All materials will be provided, no weaving experience necessary. Come tap into your creative intuitive powers!
Danielle is a local weaver of textiles as well as a weaver a relationships. She has been weaving for 12 years and for as long as she can remember has been studying and centering relationship (with Self and others) through mediums of psychology, somatics, ritual + magic, meditation, and the practice of weaving, to name a few.. Using the metaphor of the Weaver she centers the powers of Self to co-create relationships that imbibe and reflect the unique threads of the true Self. She teaches weaving in Haydenville at the Brassworks Building and you can find her @everythreadhandwoven or www.everythreadhandwoven.com

Folding Birds for Peace
Folding Birds for Peace was an artist talk and workseop led by Mona Shiber and Jupong Lin. Their project was focused on coming together around peace in response to the immense loss of life and devastation in Palestine. Similar to origami, the artists demonstrated and folded paper doves and cranes which was a focusing, quieting, mindful movement of hands, eyes & heart. These birds have represented peace in many traditions. In the workshop, we imbued the intention of global well wishing into our birds. The peace bird project grew out of a shared desire of two artist friends to transform the pain of witnessing global atrocities.

Hands for Palestine
Hands for Palestine was a multi-fold event that included body work sessions by donation (all proceeds went to MECA), art-making, letter writing to representatives, and contributing to the Folding Birds for Peace collective art project. There was a live soundscape, massage chair, and art-making activities that fostered connection throughout the event. The intention behind this gathering was to create a space that simultaneously held action, healing and human creativity as part of a response to the enormous loss of human life that has been happening in Gaza.
