Hands for Palestine Raffle

Hands for Palestine is raising money for a community member, A.N., who is trying to get his family out of Gaza.  Organizing an event takes time and A.N. is in need of immediate support, so we are bringing Hands for Palestine to Instagram as a raffle that will take place over the next four weeks.  A.N. is currently in Egypt working tirelessly and running into many obstacles.  The prices and wait time are much higher and longer than he expected, and we would like to get funds over to him as soon as possible so that he can do what he needs to do, swiftly and with relative ease. A.N. has currently raised $35,743 of his $95,000 goal. We would like to raise $4,000 in 4 weeks to contribute towards his goal! Whether you enter the raffle or not, please donate and/or share his GoFundMe widely to your networks! To get to his GoFundMe page, follow this link.

  • Peace Box and Folding Kit

David Scott, of western Mass, is an artisan woodworker, maker of sundials with over 20 years of constructing unique boxes. As a Quaker, he is devoted to global causes, with concerns of Gaza, the west bank and its people. These particular 'peace' boxes, using upcycled cherrywood, and embellished with cordage, hold within them, special printed papers from the PeaceBirds project. With these boxes, David Scott collaborates with Mona Shiber, of Clear Vision Studio.

Mona, along with JuPong Lin, cofounded the PeaceBirds project —a community engaged art action, intersecting shared stories of grief, and renewal, amidst the anguish of repeated erasure of the people, culture, history and resources of land and water in what is left of Palestine. Follow the link in the bio to learn more about their project! https://www.juponglin.net/peacebirds

This unique artisinal box will be filled with the folding papers of their project. Every detail of this box and folding paper is filled with meaning and intention!

    Regular value: $200

  • Massage session with Ced or Aya

Ced (they/them) is a bodyworker and herbalist, whose practice is client lead and client informed. They believe that feeling well is a collective and multi-species collaboration. They call on elemental and more than human guides for their sessions. They see bodywork as a place to be with what is, to witness unfurling of holding patterns and to listen deeply.

Aya: (she/they) is a queer devoted to the riverine in people and earth and is drawn to bodywork as a tool to encourage fluidity in what’s been blocked up by this iteration of the world. She sees bodywork as a way to negotiate with grief, fatigue and rage so that they don’t go away, but find ways to flow in their power, to flood over imposed limits of what’s possible.

This item is a 60 minutes sessions massage session with one of the above body workers. Both are trained in Swedish relaxation massage.

    Regular value: $150
